We want to give you an in-depth understanding of life at AutoScout24 Group, the role you’ll be doing and the team you’ll be joining. The whole process takes between four and six weeks, depending on the role.
Our recruiters and hiring teams will carefully review your application. If your skills and competencies match what we’re looking for, we’ll aim to be in touch within two weeks.
The first stage of the interview process is a Zoom video call with a member of the hiring team. We’ll talk about the essential skills you’ll need for the role and you can ask us any questions you have at this stage. This may be followed by a second video call with your potential manager.
Depending on the role, this could include a task, a live coding session or a presentation that needs to be prepared in advance. This is where we put your skills to the test and discover what you can bring to the team.
This video or onsite interview is designed to help you get to know the team, ask any last questions and feel confident you’ve found the right opportunity for you. If all goes well, we’ll make you an offer.

Our New Ways of Working scheme is designed to give you choice and flexibility around where and when you work. However, we do ask everyone to come into the office at least two days per week, depending on your role - this allows us to foster connections, share our ideas and collaborate in person.

If you’re living overseas, we can provide a fully digital process. If you live near one of our offices, we’ll try and arrange at least one on-site interview, so you have the opportunity to meet us face-to-face and get a personal feel for our offices and people.
It depends on the role - you’ll find any language requirements in the job description. Our company language is English, but some roles do require fluent German or another local language (particularly if you’ll be speaking directly to customers).

For any of our working student or mandatory intern roles, you’ll need to be enrolled full-time in a university and show us an enrollment certificate. For non-mandatory intern roles, you don’t need to be enrolled, but we’d expect you to apply for a permanent role.
Yes, of course. There are lots of reasons why the previous role may not have been right for you, but we still want to hear from you if another more suitable opportunity comes up.
As soon as you’ve accepted your offer, we’ll start welcoming you on board. You’ll be given everything you need to feel prepared for your first day and beyond. Our onboarding process is designed to help you feel welcomed and supported from the moment you sign your contract.
This toolkit contains all the information you need before you join, plus a few things for you to do and read in advance, like our virtual office discovery tour, a personnel questionnaire and security guidelines. If you’re going to be working from home, we’ll also send your IT equipment in advance.
You’ll take part in a few different onboarding events during your first day, including a company presentation, IT security and tech onboarding. You’ll also meet your onboarding buddy, who will be on hand to answer any questions and help you feel at home.
You’ll also be introduced to your team on your first day, where you’ll take part in individual professional onboarding. Plus, you can join our Newbie Slack channel, where you can chat with other new starters.
After a few months, you’ll join all the other new starters from across our offices at a special Welcome Day. Here, you can understand the mechanics of our organization, learn about our different functions and get to know your fellow new starters.
