Vehicle Description
Volvo V40 1.9DI – Year 2000
252,000 km
Fuel consumption: 4.8–5L/100km
(Example: From Paris to Amsterdam – 800 km, I spent only €40 on diesel, no exaggeration)
- Glow plugs replaced less than a week ago
- 4 good tyres
- Comes with a Pioneer amplifier
- Includes 2 working batteries, one of which is almost new
- I bought this car to get around while working in the Netherlands, but now I’m looking for a different type of vehicle.
- Technical inspection valid until 2027
The cons:
-The alternator works on and off – sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn’t.
-The car runs fine and can go anywhere, but it’s important to fix the alternator issue, otherwise the battery won’t charge and the car may not start.
-Needs wheel alignment.
-There’s a diesel leak at the injection pump seal – just a few drops and only when cold.
This is also why the alternator cuts off sometimes, as the diesel makes contact and causes it to shut down to avoid short circuit. Once it dries, it works again.
Perfect for someone who needs a cheap daily car – just fix these two things and it's good to go.
Also great for someone who needs spare parts.
Regarding ownership transfer:
It’s very simple – you don’t need to live in France to own the car.
