Vehicle Description
For sale: an indestructible Toyota Hilux Surf/4-runner with the 3.0 Turbo D engine and high and low gearing. Paved roads can only be driven in 2WD (rear-wheel drive). 4WD high and low only on loose surfaces.
An ideal start for an overland car build, road trips, or camping trips. Initially, I built a detachable bed in the car with the cargo drawer in the back. Later, an airline rail was added for the roof tent (roof tent not included).
Recently equipped with:
New MOT (periodic vehicle safety inspection) until 2026-6
New timing belt (2025-6)
Two new starter batteries.
Radiator and viscous coupling for the radiator fan replaced a few years ago.
Equipped with a set of original Toyota rain visors.
A full interior and a gray license plate for transporting more items. The rear seat will have to be removed for that.
It's been on a few nice road trips, but now it's been sitting too long. The engine runs smoothly and fires immediately when you turn the key. The rear window works, which isn't the case with many models.
The passenger and trunk windows have the same film.
The rear bumper is hanging crooked, but the plastic sheeting is still there. The plan was to make a tube bumper for it. It has some dents here and there.
A sister of the Hilux tested on Top Gear.
Land cruiser / Hi-Lux / Toyota / overland / camper / 4x4 / off-road / terrain
