Vehicle Description
I bought this car 8 years ago with the intention to make it the ultimate Saab 99 . The story begins in the USA. I found this car on a Saab rally forum where it was advertised. The basis had minimal rust and was transported to the Netherlands. Until that time it had approximately 60K miles on the gauge. New axle tunnels were welded welding and some other small spots. The wheel arches were not rusted
The car had a complete paint job.
New suspension was mounted ( original Bilstein, new rubbers and springs) All the suspension parts were powder coated.
After that the car was assembled by Bas Smit ( Bas Autotechniek) . If possible NOS parts were mounted ( bumpers, tail lights , rear spoiler, speakers, switched), front window door and tail door handles. The car was transformed to EU specs ( no heating problems) Now K Jetronic.
The engine was revised, a new turbo was installed.
Upgrades
Primary 7 4 speed long ratio
Charge cooler ( original delivery pipe is with the car
Front Sway bar
2.5 exhaust from rear damper which was made like the original 99T exhaust.
Car has approximately 175 BHP
After renovation the Saab has driven approximately 10K kilometers. This Saab drives and handles like a saab 99 turbo should drive and there for needs to be driven! I own another Saab therefore for it deserves more driving time than it currently gets.
I do not need to sell the Saab.
