Af en toe hebben we zo’n auto, uniek in meerdere opzichten. Een Morris 8, van de eerste serie en dan ook nog eens een convertible (open tourer). Deze Morris 8 is geproduceerd in 1935 en daarmee een Series I. Een prachtige en stijlvolle engelse klassieker in een schitterende kleurencombinatie groen met zwart. Ook het groene interieur vormt een perfecte afspiegeling en beleving uit de jaren 30.

Deze Morris 8 is oorspronkelijk geproduceerd in 1935 en 60 jaar later in Nederland geregistreerd. Helaas is er geen onderhoudshistorie beschikbaar, maar een enkele blik op de auto laat zien dat deze auto met zeer veel zorg en liefde is onderhouden. De auto is volledig gerestaureerd en in bijna perfecte nieuwstaat gebracht. Dat is te zien aan de zeer goede conditie van de auto, zowel qua lakwerk, chroomwerk en ook het interieur. Alles is met zeer veel zorg gedaan en ook met behoud van originaliteit.

De carrosserie is in zeer goede en bijna perfecte staat. Het lakwerk is bijzonder mooi en ook de diverse chroomdelen zijn in (bijna) nieuwstaat. Het stijlvolle groen met zwart staat bijzonder mooi bij deze auto. Alle carrosseriedelen sluiten goed op elkaar aan en het is duidelijk te zien dat er sprake is van een vakkundige restauratie. Ook het interieur is in nagenoeg perfecte conditie. De groen lederen bekleding is in goede conditie. Het dashboard is in prima staat en alle instrumenten werken naar behoren. De stoelen zijn niet alleen in goede conditie, ze zitten ook bijzonder comfortabel.

Als de motorkap wordt geopend, zien we een schitterende en keurig verzorgde motorruimte. Het is bijna nieuwstaat, zo mooi, netjes en verzorgd. Overigens, het ziet er niet alleen zo uit, zo is het ook. De motor loopt bijzonder rustig en soepel en de auto rijdt bijzonder fijn. Schakelen en sturen gaat heel soepel en trefzeker. Dit is een bijzonder vriendelijke ‘pre-war’ klassieke auto. De cabrioletkap is ook nog in bijzonder goede conditie en ook de aanwezige zijschermen zijn in (bijna) nieuwstaat.
