Mit diesen S-Modellen landete Mercedes-Benz einen spontanen Verkaufserfolg , obwohl Kinderkrankheiten ihren Ruf verdunkelten . Die 2,5 - Liter - Motoren machten Probleme: sie waren nicht vollgasfest und neigten zu hohem Ölverbrauch . Mercedes-Benz bekam dieses Problem erst mit den überarbeiteten Motoren des 280 S und 280 SE in den Griff . Die Produktion der 250er Modelle begann im Juli 1965 und endete im März 1969 , die 280er starteten im November 1967 und liefen bis September 1972 .Daneben gab es von 1965 bis 1967 noch den 300 SE mit dem bekannten 170 PS Motor . Im März 1971 kam noch der 280 SE 3,5 mit dem neuen V 8 Motor auf den Markt . Eine 4,5 Liter Version gab es nur für Amerika . Dieses Fahrzeug bieten wir im Auftrag des derzeitigen Eigentümers zum Verkauf , Anlass hierfür ist die Auflösung einer Oldtimersammlung aus Altersgründen . Der TÜV wird auf Wunsch nach Verkauf neu durchgeführt .
