Vehicle Description
Land Rover Series 2a
- “British army of the Rhine” version: original LHD i. c. w. Milometer (instead of KM);
- Bughead version (headlights in middle and side wings), side wings lights are not visible anymore (could have done better);
- Very good technical condition. Complete brake check and renewal i. c. w. Big service has been done last year. Since then bareley driven
- Service has been done by Dutch Rovers (Sneek) in the last 5 years.
Papers shows a first date of 30-06-1970. But the car is older. Round 1965. It is put later on license plates because using on the army base in Germany.
She’s called the “bonkige dame” (bumpy lady). I drove her a lot and often. She’s a very reliable working lady. A multi purpose vehicle. For transportation of goods to to children parties etc.
She’s so lovely i still don’t know if i could miss her. But with also an sprinter 4x4 in the garage i ask myself if the bumpy lady must be changed for an rally lady… She only goes for an (worthy) good price
She comes with:
- Pickup roof and an recently bought canvas roof;
- 4 extra seats for in the back.
Remarkable service points:
- parabolic suspension
- new canvas roof
- new nato (imi) wolf wheels and tyres
- new heater matrix (for the original heater)
- new brake system
- new fuel pump
etc etc
