Vehicle Description
I got this car 4 years ago because I think the XJS is the most beautiful car ever built(my humble opinion).
Now I'm a guy who likes to shoot straight:
1 this car has been magnificently restored by Jaguar Professionals. All invoices ofcourse available for body work/full engine check and maintenance/replacing worn parts with new original ones.
2 I am going to assume you know what to look for in a Jag and that A GREAT ONE that is FREE OF blemishes/rulst with a V12 HE engine that has been FULLY CHhEC in jKED AND MAINTENANCED not 2 months ago is worthy of at least a bit of your attention ;) and perhaps a phone call or email if you fancy taking a closer look/a test drive
3 this car is a dream for me but I am gonna plainly say it: "Wanting to own a MAGNIFICENT AND HISTORIC AUTOMOBILE .. is ALWAYS going to cost TIME AND .. MONEY!!! After buying the car and spending a full year and a half of paying for rare parts and expensive professional restaurations (PLEASE NOTE: A professional who lives and breathes classic Jaguars has restored and maintenanced this car. OFCOURSE he has made money off me but he kept costs "reasonable" whenever possible. BY REASONABLE I MEAN HE ALWAYS MADE SURE HE ORDERED THE PART.. BUT while waiting for parts he went looking in his personal collection of Jaguar Xjs' cars and if he found the same part in perfectly working condition he always asked me if I wanted the new EXPENSIVE part or the (EQUALLY ORIGINAL/FUNCTIONAL) part.
MY POINT IS THIS:
As far as bad luck goes... I had very little with this car..
- no hidden rust
- engine needed to be rigorously checked and plugs, somee wires etc had to he replaced
- body work and even the tires/chromed rims were all in a rare state of near "unblemished"
-no electronic problems worth mentioning
in summary I was lucky because all that had to happen was a few replacements/a total engine checkup and thorough inspection of all the intricate parts of the massive and complex v12 engines.
NOTE: I CHOSE MYSELF to have the body work FULLY RESTORED even though this was barely visible..
CONCLUSION:"After much consideration and painful reflection I have come to the realisation that this car is a luxury I can not afford at thi,s stage in my life. The car has been returned to a state worthy of the Jaguar Brand.
I want to start a family. NOW I'm far from a wealthy man, but I'm not poor either. The Jaguar XJS is therefore up for sale starting now :)
I am not willing to take a loss on it however. The price has A LITTLE wiggle room but don't expect thousands of euros off.
Kindest regards, do enjoy your day everyone!
kind regards and please enjoy the enclosed photos.
