Vehicle Description

• Circa 71,000 kilometers from new
• Meticulously preserved and maintained
• All books and tools
• Italian registration document
Commissioned directly by Ferrari’s chairman, Luca di Montezemolo, the 550 Maranello was set to recapture the essence of the greatest GT cars made by Ferrari in the past.
Montezemolo’s referred to models such as the 365 GTB 4 ‘Daytona’ and 275 GTB. Stating a real GT should have a V12 engine at the front. To balance the weight of the 485 hp 5.5 litre
V12, the 550 is matched with a manual transaxle gearbox connected to a limited slip differential.
The combination of the powerful V12 and aerodynamic efficiency of its slick silhouette propels the 550 Maranello to a top speed of 320 km/h. Making it one of the fastest production cars at
the time.
Designed by Pininfarina, the 550 showcases a delicate balance between modern and classic aesthetics. The long bonnet and flowing lines pay tribute to its predecessors, yet managing to
be originally muscular.
The Frau leather interior shows a big step forward in terms of ergonomics and build quality for Ferrari at the time. Combining that with an automatic climate control and a CD stereo system,
the 550 proves to be a joyous companion for long continental trips even by modern standards.
The berlinetta being offered is finished in Blu Tour de France over Tan interior.
The car was originally delivered in Austria where it had four previous owners. The last owner is a Ferrari collector who had it for a decade. He kept track meticulously over the car’s
maintenance and all receipts from 2014 till now are present to support it.
The car traveled approximately 10k kilometres in the last decade and currently stands on 71000.
It presents beautifully and completely original apart from the Tubi style rear mufflers. The original mufflers are also included in the sale.
Fresh Pirelli P Zero were tires fitted in February 2024.
The dashboard was recently reupholstered with original Pelle Frau by Tappezzeria Luppi in Modena.
Moreover, all sticky buttons and surfaces have been refurbished.
The 550 Maranello delivers a truly refined analog experience without compromising over modern usability and comfort.
This example is in neat condition and with a very desirable colour combination that enhances its elegance.
Service history shows no expenses were saved.
