Vehicle Description
For sale is my Alfa Giulia Super 1300. It was one of the last ones to roll off the production lines in the factory in Arese, just before the production of the Giulia Nuova began. The color of this Alfa is Blue Olandese. It had a 1600 engine fitted last year by a specialist called ‘the 105 Workshop’ in Etten Leur. Now it produces a bit more power; about 125 hp measured on a dynamometer. A lot of other repairs and improvements have been made last year which I will try to sum up below (invoices available):
- new exhaust system
- new tyres
- completely revised brake system
- 123 electronic ignition
- revised original radiator
- new hoses, seals and bushings
- new hardy disc
- completely revised gearbox (including synchromesh) and new clutch
- new battery
- new antenna
- used clean original fuel tank fitted
- new windshield wipers
- new motor mounts
- new front bumper
- front and rear seat belts
- vintage fog lights and mud flaps fitted
- the floor of the car has been treated with anti rust paint and all the sound deadening has been replaced
- the front seats have been reupholstered with the Alfa skai in original color
- and everything else that I might have forgotten…
Subsequently, the car runs and drives great. I recently made a grand tour with the local oldtimer club, which was a lot of fun.
What could make it less great, depending on your taste, is the patina of the car. On every part of the car there are some dings and scratches; it shows its age and it shows that it has been used in Italy for some 40 years, before being transported to the Netherlands. There is superficial rust on some damaged body panels. All these places I have treated with Owatrol. Important to point out is that the car does not have any rust on any of the structural parts. To make it steer more precise and stick to the tarmac even better, new shocks and springs would be a wise next step. The car comes with several spare parts, including new Bilstein front shocks and new Koni red shocks for the rear. The car is stored in a heated garage and is only used in good weather conditions. I am open to an exchange with a decent example of an Alfa Romeo GTV6 from 1980 - 1988. If you’re GENUINELY interested in this Alfa; please send me an email with your contact details and I will answer any additional questions you might have.
